GMC Raised bumper

Hey anyone know how to do the raised front bumper on a GMC?

black4x4 07-10-2013 05:21 PM

I think the one I did I just used some 2x2 box tube under the frame brackets and can't remember what i did on the ousters.

Raise it or slide it forward?

Raise it to remove that filler piece...

I think the filler piece looks sweet with the black accents and black wheels. I was going to do it on my lly with chrome wheels but never got around to it.

I think they look better with the filler piece left in place. When the bumper is raised the body lines don't quite match up (from the side view), the lower bumper line is too high in the front.

Color match the filler. Should have came from the factory that way. Some of the pictures of my LBZ look like a body lift gone wrong.

Most GM trucks do with 6" of fame rail hanging down below the body sheet metal

:hehe:

Personally, I don't think anything can be done with the Chevy/GMC front ends to make them attractive....'cept throw a hot chick up on them. $.02
