LED Gauge Cluster Bulb help

over achiever
I have a 2003 Dodge 2500 and I did a bunch of searching on which bulbs to get and i ordered 3 different sizes just to make sure i got the right ones, B8.3D, B8.4D & B8.5D.

I tried the B8.3D does not fit into the gauge cluster so i set them to the side.

I tried the B8.5D bulbs and they fit but none of them turned on.

I removed them and put the B8.4D bulbs in and they fit kind of loose but only the left side of the gauge cluster was lighting up (which it was doing that with the original bulbs in it).

Is there a way to wire up lights into each hole or is there a fix to get all the bulbs working in the cluster?

You probably have one or more in backwards. This is a common issue with LED's. The "D" stands for DIODE which only allows electricity to flow one way. Unlike incandescent bulbs, you must put the LED in paying close attention to positive and negative. If I'm not mistaken, the cluster lamps are "wired" in a series like the older Christmas tree lights. One bulb with the wrong orientation and the whole circuit is dead.

So which ones are technically right for the dodges? I've got some going out in my hvac controls. Time to do them all.

NEO5 are the ones I used in my 05 gauge cluster and center dash. Mine have been in my dash for 8 or 9 years

Which color do you have?
I'm assuming the 3800k is pure white?
I'm after pure white.

Pure white should be 4600-5000 I think

They will still come out blue on most th cluster and other stuff. Then you need blue film paper to put over the trip and the overhead computer. I also tore the front off my radio and installed lights under there. Some lights must be installed only one way others will work both.

Go with 6600 I think a white will be too bright imo. It will be like a washed out blue.i went with super bright blue and it was a bit much

Mine was hard on the eyes. Make sure you wire an incandescent bulb in somewhere or the lights won't go out fully and won't dim properly.
