VP Torq racing diesel

Has anyone tried this stuff and seen results? I haven't seen anything so far that is worth $15 a gallon... figured maybe some others have done some testing on the dyno or with data logs to see a worthwhile difference.

Thanks guys.

I have heard from Seth that B20 will yield more horsepower then regular #2 and they sell it at the pump

Countrymark fuel (everybody swears by it here. May be a b20 blend I am not sure), soyshield, and cetane additive from Scheid is what most pullers I know run.

SPEEDSHIFT 08-08-2018 03:16 PM

What kind of additive do yall run with the B20? I would assume it would need something for lubricity.

I use soyshield and cetane additive.

SPEEDSHIFT 08-08-2018 04:33 PM

Do all of you run B20?

I dont, we are adding soyshield, so I dont see the need.

Was told by a pump/engine builder years ago that outlaw would make an extra 1hp for every 100hp. It does make a difference, they start and idle differently with it, but itll settle out after a long time and leave a mess if your not careful

This is true, I mix fresh fuel every week. I was told it has about a 2 week shelf life after its mixed. I also noticed a smoother idle and the dark black smoke when getting on the chargers is more of a gray now I was never really a believer in snake oil but its seems to be doing a good job... Time will tell I guess

Outlaw was 17 hp more when we went to dyno starts easier .. it don't like water or moister at all makes a grey film

A buddy of mine swears his limited pro starts easier with outlaw in it. I used to run it in my antique puller, but I was only making 100hp, I didn’t feel like it was worth the hassle, nor was I dying for more hp to run the 4mph class :lolly:

Edit: I forgot that I also ran b100 for a little bit in my antique, it wet stacked like crazy, didn’t idle worth a darn. It definitely was not worth the hassle for what I was doing

I have run the Scheid additive with Standadyne lubricity forumla mixed in pump fuel for years. Going to try the VP stuff tomorrow. A friend has been running it all season and he claims his truck starts easier than the Scheid additive does
