Cummins 4BT / NV4500 interference at slave cylinder (VIDEO)

Hey guys. I'm having an issue trying to replace my slave cylinder on this build. I didn't do it in the first place, so I'm trying to reverse engineer somebody else's (fantastic!) work.

I have an interference issue between the back of the flywheel housing on my 4BT and the front of the bell housing on my NV4500 (not sure if it's GM or Dodge ... would appreciate tips on how to identify).

Anyway, I shot a video to show the problem. Any thoughts would be appreciated on what I should do. I'm tempted just to grind down the flywheel housing a little bit. I have a stubby end mill chucked up in my air die grinder and am about to go at it, but I wanted some advice first ...

looks like a GM bellhousing.

one thought was to do like youre saying and cut some of the adapter away to get to that thing. then id attempt to knock out that bolt in the slave cylinder, then use a shorter bolt, lock washer, and nut to clamp the top part of it down.

just some of my thoughts...

Great, so you don't think it'd give me too much trouble to chew away some of that adapter plate? That's what my gut says. This 1/4" end mill in my die grinder looks hungry!

I wouldn't think so. I think you should be ok trimming it a little to clear.

It worked. Now the clutch feels a ton better. Thanks for the advice!
