12v Valve Cover Options to clear studs

Other than hacking at stock valve covers, what are there options for valve covers that will not hit head studs?

Grind the stud and nut down after final torque.

some company makes taller billet covers but they're like $500+. machining the pedestals is usually $60-100. seems like an easy choice.\

Make sure you machine the TOPS of the pedestals, not the bottoms, otherwise it'll ruin your day.

Mark.

I think there is someone on eBay selling BD valve cover look-alikes that are a touch taller that will clear studs. The cummins dual valve cover breathers don’t require any modifications either but they won’t work on the rear cylinders obviously.

I bottom tapped the block.
