VW TDIs for sale again

It appears VW is finally getting to sell all of the vehicles that upset the EPA from better mileage. Has anybody went and looked at or picked up some of these releases back on the market? I was told that the warranty included is pretty good.

I was wondering what was up, noticed a bunch flooded fb marketplace from the local dealer.

I bought one back in May, a 2011 jetta dsg with 22k miles. Its deeper geared than my old 2012 6spd was, so I dont really notice the loss of power I've read about. Fuel mileage is not even close to the old car though, old one averaged about 46mpg for everyday driving, new one has never been over 41-42mpg, and my commute is about 95% highway now. This one is also noticeably louder than the '12. I theorize that part of the retune is a rather aggressive timing curve, has a healthy rattle at lower RPMS, reminds me of stacking multiple timing adding devices on a VP44 truck.
The warranty seems to be pretty good so far, although they haven't figured out what's going on with my car. It randomly has extended cranking to start, even did it when I went to pick it up from them trying to figure it out. I did get a call last week about a recall they want me to bring it in for, dont know what it is, haven't called them back yet. Would love to retune this one, but dont want to void the warranty, everything is covered to about 120k miles I think. Also the VW crowd is really stupid, they think these are top secret NASA designs or something that cannot possibly be improved upon, and the places that do tune them won't tell you what they are changing, or even show any understanding of timing in a diesel engine.
I've got a couple of threads already about this car if you want to see what been posted in them as well.

Local dealer here had numerous ones for sale, and the website had some wording that led me to believe they were waiting on emissions stuff. This was about 6 months ago.

Still a little premature I'm sure, but selling my '11 might be on the table for us. Have baby no.3 due in July, and have just come to the realization that we can't fit 3 car seats in my wifes car. I'd just move it, but we bought it new intending to keep it for a long time, so it has way too many miles to sell. Still sorting options, but if someone is really looking hit me up.

If they ever allow the BMW M50D in the US it'd be a game changer.

What did she prefer over the Q7 and why would the 50D be a game changer I wonder

It really wouldn’t, would much rather have the euro spec SQ7 which we also don’t get and is the competition for the BMW.

All of them came and went quick in my area. A few dealers bought all they could in my area and before I knew what was going on they were all sold! in about a 2 months span they sold hundreds.

I picked up my wife a brand new Jetta 1.4t SEL Premium (gas) for $21,500 with extended warranty (7yr 84,000 miles bumper to bumper). Gets 40-45mpg actual, had Android Auto, heated leather seats, sun roof, lane assist, adaptive cruise, drive modes, multi user settings, etc...
Couldn't be happier. Stupidly cheap.

I know the Audi S4 which had a supercharged 3.0L from 2010-2016 (~320hp), turbo charged 2.9L from 2017-2020 (~350hp), will now turn to diesel in 2021 and still make over 300hp. I'm interested in that!
