I am happy to have you guys as a site sponsor! Are the front runners weight rated for the heavy front ends of our trucks?

Hello,

Thank you for the welcome. Some of our front runners can handle heavy front ends of trucks. Each set up is different, thus we take it a case by case basis for the size we recommend.

man i love everything i hear about the drag radials. just wish there were some more size options.

Dockboy 02-12-2010 10:17 PM

We need a 32" or larger drag radial :poke:

Rollin Coal 02-12-2010 10:17 PM

roachie 02-12-2010 10:20 PM

These might help

DOT
(n) 33.0/15.50-16LT

Slick
(ya) 13.00/16 Nostalgia

what would be real nice is the same size tires in a 17 inch or larger rim, so us 3rd gen guys dont have to fool around with shaving our calipers etc

roachie 02-13-2010 12:25 AM

I'm not a drag racer, just what I have observed.

The newer trucks are running 17" wheels to clear the calipers, sooner or later they will be needing tires for them. Radials would be nice.

Like I said, just my observations.

Yep,33/15/17" would be nice in a DOT radial also 33/15/18".$.02

Another vote here for a 17" tire. I've got a 2wd truck that needs sticky rubber BAD. :bang

jpowel29 02-13-2010 07:53 AM

I have run the M&H Nostalgia slick for the past 2 seasons. Worked well in a 2wd heavy truck. I ran rim screws and tubes.

need a 32-33" DRAG RADIAL in a 17-18" wheel size that will be suitable and SAFE on the front of a 4wd.

While the tires you carry above fit the hieght we are looking for, when on the front of a 6000+ lb 4wd truck they are like trying to steer with marshmallow's!! Plus, you can't heat them up to utilize thier potential.

A 305/60/18 Drag Radial would be PERFECT in my book!

Rollin Coal 02-13-2010 08:10 AM

i agree, a 285-60 or 285-65/18 would be what i want

until then, kdw2's it is

syrupdawg 02-13-2010 08:13 AM

i also would love to see a 32-33" drag radial in 17"...i think there is a decent market out there for it

SAFETY is my main concern at this time. There are many ways to hack a questionable tire on these trucks but i don't feel comfortable setting my wife loose over 100 mph on ANYTHING i've found yet. I guess i should build her a FWD Honda that the tire companies & aftermarket bow down 2. It's just a matter of time before someone gets hurt running these heavy trucks with UNSAFE rubber. Just my 2 cents & sorry for the rant.

DART505 02-13-2010 08:34 AM

I have run these before but would like the same specs in a 32" OD tire.
(g) 390/40R17
And $300 ouch.$.02
