AFC block off plate

I’ve searched and searched. I found one I can buy from pure diesel power, but I have access to a machine shop and wanted to make my own billet one. Needless to say I was just gonna use a flat plate but the one they sale has the center raised. The plate would set flush on the pump I’m not sure if that would limit fuel or what because I know that’s how the fuel plate sits. Feedback is appreciated!

If you don't intend on using a fuel plate then you could probably get away with a flat plate closing off the top of the gov housing. The reason those ones you see are raised is so that you can fit a fuel plate under the cover.

Can't really think of a reason to not use a afc.. enlighten me?

Should of mentioned. It’s for drag only and will have nitrious. Not worried about smoke.

And still be better off with a AFC, will spool at the line alot easier. Also I'm sure the starting line crew will appreciate it alot more. A AFC set up right will not limit your top end fueling one bit.

It will not be permanent, just as temporary to get the truck running. AFC that’s as on pump has been completely gutted. Just temporary until I can find a few things I’m missing.

In that case just pull the foot and put the housing on?

Just run the gutted afc for now. Believe me, you'll want a functioning afc before you are done.

Once you acquire a working afc, take the time to bench it and set it up. It will spool better with a proper afc vs a delete.
