This update is over due but we have been very busy and just got the chance to sit down. We made it down to Gulfport MS for the diesel thunder fall event and for once we did not get pulled over and questioned and had no issues with the tow truck the entire way. We did arrive too late for the test and tune Friday so we were not able to get any runs in. Saturday morning, we found out that they changed the race to an 1/8th mile track instead of ¼ mile which was really disappointing for us because the whole goal for us is to run a 13 second pass and this was our last shot this year. After running a few qualifying passes we realized why they chose to run 1/8th . Everyone including #lildebbie was having trouble hooking on the track. We played around with fuel settings on the afc live and tire pressure and launching at different levels of boost but there just wasn’t enough time to get it figured out and when it came time for eliminations we spun less off the start but weren’t able to hit our dial in time and got eliminated.
Even with the crappy showing though we still had a great time and this was the first time we have actually taken the truck to a diesel event so it was still very cool for us. Mike Cassaday and the Diesel Thunder guys put on a great event and the weather was very nice on sat.

The highlight of the event for lildebbie was definitely the dyno. This was our first chance ever to get the truck on a loaded dyno so we were very excited to see how well it would do. With the truck doing 430hp and only boosting 60 psi just the weekend before on an unloaded dyno we decided we would bump the timing from 28 to 32 for this event and of course give those stock head bolts one more re-torque. As we loaded up lildebbie on the dyno the people gathered around to watch the spectacle. We put the afc live on full fuel and let her have everything possible. To our surprise we actually accomplished what we were trying for and broke the 500 mark and topped out at 550hp on all fuel of course. This time the truck did boost close to 80 and looked and sounded great. We of course are not done but we do plan to leave it as it is now until we can make some good passes with it in the spring and finally make a 13 second pass. (or a few and fingers crossed with the stock head bolts still in place).
