You have air trapped in the system. If you didn't bench bleed the master cylinder then you have put a lot of air in there. You should try bleeding the brakes at all 4 corners again. If the pedal is still soft, you have air trapped in the abs module. You may also be able to cycle the air out by trying some emergency stops to cycle the abs, then go back and re-bleed the brakes at all four corners.
