I have ran them on my street car for over 10 years with no issues. It is a 3000lb car and not a truck though. I even bottomed it out going over a crest in a driveway and didn't bend the bar. Seen any traction bars that mount on the frame further forward break? The only difference I see is the forward mounting point of the two. What exactly was your coworker saying would break?
