12Valve/CR Head P-Pump Combo

I was giving a suggestion to speed up cam timing because have seen motors perform better in the 93 to 96 range compared to normal 99 100 most cams are supposed to be installed at. Just something for the op to consider checking for his problem.

It would still run at 100 or whatever.
Another suggestion would be a leak down test. We have learned do the stupid stuff first then get technical
 
Im definitly not an xpert at degreeing cams, In fact Im not to good at all but As near as I can tell this cam is at 71 3/4
 
Seems the cylinder head is part of, if not the issue,,, cylinder leak down would confirm what I believe is going on. It's a hard lesson to learn. Also make sure the cam keyway and the gear are ok.*

What are you thinking would be wrong with the head? Leaking Valves?
 
Was the injectors and pistons match together from scheid .. not mixed matched oem bowl Pistons with flat bottom spec injectors.
 
What exhaust manifold is he using for that charger?

I had a p-pump 24v using a homemade T4 tube header built by a member here, truck ran like a scalded dog to 5k rpm (pump rpm limit) but over time I had some cracks and warping issues. I swapped it out and went back to a stock 24v manifold with T4 flange welded on that was heavily ported to open it up all the way through, and had it ceramic coated inside and out. The truck would not hold RPM, it would fall on its face every run. That manifold was the only change. I fixed the header and put it back on, truck came back to life.

Do you have data on the drive pressure?
