3rd Gen p pump 6.7

So, I had some parts fall into my lap so I put a p pump on a 6.7 out of a 2018 ram 2500. Currently it runs great, on my engine stand but thats no fun! I wanna stick it in a 3rd Gen 1500 or 2500 so I can go fool around with it. I live in Wisconsin where everything is rusted beyond (logical) repair and I go to texas fairly often where 3rd Gens with bad motors can be had for 1k-1500 so once I'm done playing with it I can sell the bed for a grand, doors 250 each, etc etc and make my money back on the chassis. Question I have, are the motor mounts on the frame the same from gas to diesel in the 2500s? Same on 1500s? I would assume they are, but I see people building mounts, building plates to move the stock motor mounts, etc. I assume that's Maybe because they are using 12 valves without the optional bosses in the block. Swaps are not new to me, I've done 2 super duty cummins, a 2nd gen half ton, and a 2nd gen 2500 gas to diesel swap, just don't have a 3rd Gen frame around to measure or play with. Thanks for any help!

This sounds like what I want to do eventually. The common rail block will just drop into place of any diesel ram with no motor mount modifications. Honestly should have been the way I converted the 05 I have now. Live and learn.

Show us some pictures of the p-pumped 6.7!

I do know this bit of information, but that's not what I asked lol I'm asking if the frame side of the motor mounts are the same from the gas 2500s as the diesel 2500s, and if so, are the 1500s are the same? I'll see what I got for pics of motor

I can't figure out how to upload pics. Says I need a URL, so I made a photobucket, uploaded a few pictures (which turned really blury) and then tried to copy the link but it only highlights, won't let me copy. So I give up on that... If someone is better at uploading, I'll gladly send them the pics lol

That's kind of what I gathered. I wonder why the 1500s are different? Was nice in the reg cab short box 99 I did. Dropped in and bolted up, used 98 12v harness and computer and viola!

I'm doing a hemi to 12 valve conversion and the frame side mounts are the same. At least on 4wd. Though I'd imagine 2wd would be the same.

Only thing I can think of with the 1500 is the IFS. Frame is probably different as well or else no one would buy a 2500.

Does a Cummins fit in the front of a 3rd or 4th gen 1500 with the 4WD IFS? I didn't think it did.

And from what I understand, you need to swap to a HD hood to make it fit on a 2WD 4th gen 1500.

I do believe you'd have some stuff to figure out on the 4th gen core support to fit the Cummins cooling package In
