It's amazing listening to some of these older folks stories. I knew a guy,he passed away at 98 years old. He was a WWII vet,in the Pacific,diring the war. He was a turret gunner,on a bomber. His plane was shot ,by flack,and he was the only one to survive the flack. He crash landed the plane,injured,but walked away from that. Oh,did I mention he survived Pearl Harbor,too. Talk about nine lives. They don't make them,like that any more.
