I just got official word that Wagler is adding drag racing to their event this June!!! There is a nearby track that is 1/8-mile I believe and supposed to be a very nice facility...

The event has been good so far and I expect this year to be even better. Hopefully I'll see a lot of you guys there!!!

Here is their event info:

Wagler Diesel Competition 2017

Please join us for the third annual Wagler Diesel Competition presented by S&S Diesel Motorsport on Friday - Sunday June 9–11, 2017 at the Daviess County Fair Grounds located in Elnora, Indiana.

Wagler Competition Products is hosting an action packed weekend of events geared towards diesel enthusiasts:

• Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League truck/tractor pull
• Show-N-Shine
• Street dyno contest
• King of the Dyno presented by Diesel Ops
• Live bands
• Drag racing

Who's going to be at the Wagler event?

I'll be there shooting the event so have your trucks clean and ready. I might even shoot some features while we are there...

I'm looking forward to the event. I've heard that some VERY Fast guys will be there and guys are taking it very seriously so hopefully we will have some good pulling on the drag strip in addition to the pull!!!

I think diesel world magazine is doing a great job promoting diesel motorsports , while other diesel magazines covers lift kits and liberal California bs ..

Thanks!!!

We are trying with both Diesel World as well as Ultimate Diesel Builder's Guide to be active in diesel motorsports by being at as many events as we can and in coverage in the magazines.:rockwoot:

They are running 6.70 and 7.70 classes... we need good diesel guys like the Firepunk team to defend against the gassers!!!

That's really hard to do when your running box cars. Especially the weekend after a points race. I personally don't think I will make it as I would have to borrow a tow truck again and that's a long drive to race cars cutting .00x lights. Would love to come but don't think you will see many of any trucks in the index classes

Well that would be a bummer if it ends up being mostly gassers... Its index racing and a lot of you guys cut good lights and run right at the index. We (meaning the diesel competitors) need to have a good showing!!!

Its only a $50 entry fee and there is $1000 to win with payouts to the quarter finals of $125, so in one or two rounds you can make some money...

I have no idea how many gassers there will be running the index classes, but if none of the good diesel trucks are there the gassers are going to collect your money without even being challenged...

Don't be skeerd!!!:poke:

I don't disagree with you, only problem is most of the guys that would be competitive don't want boxes in gassers. Get rid of the box and I think it would be a much different story. That's easily a 500 dollar weekend for me to go and race. Hard to justify against someone who has much better technology

The rules on Wagler's site say ODSS rules for the PS and Index classes and ODSS does not allow boxes so gassers would have to unplug/remove them if they have them correct???

If you make it to the event stop by the Diesel World/Ultimate Diesel Builder's Guide booth and say hi. We'll have some magazines and a few decals on hand to give away for FREE!!!

Plus if you ask really nicely you can get a free 1 year digital subscription.

See you guys out there!

Only updates I've seen so far is Wade went 200 again, and Tony Rizzi drug Milliken's Nova

Wade wasn't there with his Duramax rail...

Pull went well, crowd was light Friday until the pull started then decent, Saturday seemed to have split the crowd between the strip and the fairgrounds until the pull Saturday night when the crowd was pretty good. Pretty good crowd Sunday for the drags too. We handed out a lot of magazines to gasser guys Sunday from our booth, that were genuinely interested and blown away at how fast the diesel's were!!!

Farmtruck and Jeff Lutz were on hand making a couple passes and signing autographs for the fans and being great all around guys through the weekend!!! Farmtruck drove the Wagler shop truck that was still pushing through the trans brake and a handfull on the track when the power came on!!! Jeremy Wagler made a couple passes in the truck too and really had a hard time keeping the truck straight... When they get the bugs worked out and chassis set up right it should be a wicked fast truck!!!

Our diesel guys in 6.70 and 7.70 went out in the early rounds leaving it to the gassers in both classes... the exits were for silly things like breaking out and redlights and such... We had good trucks there representing the diesel community and I think we could have taken it for sure... We were certainly outnumbered, hopefully we get a lot more diese representation next year!!!

In the big tire class there were two gasser rails along with the RLC Duramax rail, RLC's 1/2 ton Dodge, Tony Rizzi's awesome little ride and a few other fast gassers... A door slammer Pro Mod 67 or 69 Shelby Mustang won it all, but Tony was doing great and could have taken it all until he went for a wild ride, but he drove the heck out of it and kept it off the wall!!! The Scheid rail was there just a week after destroying an engine at TS, man those guys work fast!!! Unfortunately in a Gas dragster vs Diesel dragster elimination round the throttle cable came loose during the burnout so the Scheid team backed it out and let the gasser have the win with a bye run...

Milliken and the Nova kicked but in the small tire class to take the win and rep the Diesel guys well!!!!

Johnny Gilbert and the Stainless Diesel truck took the Pro Street win over Lavon Miller that seemed to be experiencing trouble through the weekend...

All in all I expect that the weekend attendance for the event was probably a good bit higher than last year. I think it was a good event, and it was awesome that none of our banners were stolen!!! We're looking forward to next year's event too!!!

The only negative was the gnats!!!! Man were they obnoxious!!!!
