Dodge 1500 EcoDiesel

I'm thinking stock numbers were mid 200 ' s hp and mid 400 ' s torque for the us version. Like said above either diesel would be nice to have. I kind of like the little Colorado idea. From what I've seen they're tough little trucks.

It is available with the RCLB. Not available with the RCSB.

When I was looking at ordering one, the dealer said they were not going to put in at regular cab at all. Things do change though.

Edit, they tried to tell me it was do to wheelbase...I asked which is longer the Grand Cherokee or the RCSB, he then said he had no idea why. LOL Just that he couldn't order it.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the air ride suspension option for the 1500? Is it a worthwhile option?

One of the dealers here told me they have some coming in about 6 weeks. Definitely going to go drive one when they hit the lot. Sounds like they would make a great daily driver and grocery getter. Sounds like much of a load kills the fuel economy unfortunately and wouldnt be the best choice for much heavy hauling. The sales guys that test drove one told me that they were getting 34 mpg cruising at 65-70 on the freeway but when they hit the rolling hills it dropped to 24 on the instant mpg readout. My truck doesn't even notice the hills on that stretch of the freeway.

According to all the press releases I have read, it will be available in a regular cab. Maybe no short bed though. The reg cabs are supposed to be built in Saltillo Mexico at the same plant as the HD are built.

I read all the same press releases. I'm simply stating my experience trying to order a truck from October to December of last year. That is what the local dealership told me after he had done some research. Things may have changed since then as well.

Their website. That's a RCLB tradesman 2wd. RCSB does not have the option.

Yep, I tried building a rcsb on ram's website. No dice...

I'm pretty sure you can get a regular cab long bed but has to be an SLT or Big Horn I believe. I just got a new quad short big horn 1500 diesel and my wife took it from me already... Damn.

Every option known to man at a price of 55k...... :bang

i test drove one about a week ago.. I must say I way impressed. it was the Laramie package with sunroof and everything available as well. I did hate the gear selector. but you can manually upshift and downshift by the buttons on the back of steering wheel if you want. as far as power and torque the truck wasn't a slouch by any means, had good power ( could always use more ) but I did feel some hesitations in shifting in a couple of the lower gears like it needs retuned.. and lastly the MPG dash meter was reading right at 26-29 on the highway doing 72mph and right at 30-32doing 45-55 in town. so if I didn't have a use for a 3/4 ton and had an extra $53,501 including TTL n plates then id pick one up.
