Dana ttb hub to Dana 60

So I e looked but only thing I've found is matin a Dana 50 knuckle to a dodge Dana 60. I have a Dana 60 out of a f450 and am looking to convert it to roller bearing but can't fork over 2k for the kit. Are the ttb 50 knuckles able to mount up to a ford Dana 60? In case it matters it's for a custom 4wd conversion

Search for the thread on pirate 4X4. I would link it but can't from work.

It seems like the knuckles work but the spindles and stub shafts do not.

That's the part I was getting confused on because everyone doing it was on a dodge axle

I appreciate it but I already have an axle. My end result was seeing if I could get rid of the unit bearing and also go back to the standard lug pattern. But at the same time I would be sacrificing the bigger brakes.

I have a dodge Dana 60 with the ford lock outs and knuckles I would sell

TTB 50 knuckles wont work You need 92-97 dana 60 knuckles to make it work keep in mind the steering will have to be 92-97 setup

Now random question would a solid axle dana 50 work? From my understanding they are the same as a 60 just have a smaller center section and ring gear

Solid axle 50's are to the best of my knowledge all super duty axles that gets you right back into unit bearings again.

Ah yes you have a point. Well since it's the big gigantic f450 knuckle and unit bearing I'm considering just putting a metric adapter on the rear of my dodge and running Ford wheels and let it be. That big of stuff on a 3/4 should help some. Unless my logic is flawed which by all means tell me so

the 99 dana 50 has the same size ring and pinion as the TTB50 (smaller than 60)
but to convert it over you just need 92-97 balljoint Dana 60 Knuckles
the axles look big till it gets to the carrier. Then its necked down. The 15/16 socket to the pinion nut is the easiest way to identify the Dana 50s from 60s
Dana 50 15/16
Dana 60 1.1/8

Awesome. While we're on the subject is there any difference between a f350 and a f450 Dana 60? I have a f450 which I know has way bigger brakes but I heard the knuckles and unit bearings were different. This isn't the. 10 lug but the 8x180 one

I have only repaced 1 u-joint on a 08 f450. All of the other older f450 I have worked on are 2wd. I know the ujoint on the 08 f450 is bigger

MOOG 374 is the 2000 f450 u-joint part #
MOOG 424 is a 2008 f450 u-joint part#

Dana 60 aftermarket[edit]
The Dana 60 front axle has a great deal of aftermarket/third-party support, including many upgrades. Stronger axle shafts, Universal Joints and ball joints are widely available. As well as a large selection of traction control devices such as Locking differentials and Limited slip differentials. Axle shafts, Universal joints and carriers made from chromoly steel are even available. High capacity differential covers are available that increase the amount of oil the differential holds. These covers also feature Heat sinks that help keep the axle cool.

Dana Super 60 (Dana S 60)[edit]

Dana Super 60 from a 2008 Ford F-450
The Dana Super 60 is an upgraded version of the Dana 60 front axle.

Differences in the Dana Super 60 versus the regular Dana 60:

Larger and thicker diameter steel tubes (3.75 inches diameter and ½ in thick)
Larger ring and pinion which increase the contact area and overall strength.
Some use larger ("1550") Universal Joints which increase strength and steering angle.
Net formed spider gears for increased strength.
The Dana Super 60 housing is also found on 2005+ F250/F350, but the internals are 9.75" ring gear and smaller universal joint.
All made with 35 Spline axle shafts.

Yeah I know the super 60s are different but this is just a regular 60. Only thing I've found different is the knuckles. I know the measurements are different because only f450 brakes work on f450 knuckles

My bad 350 and 450 are different on the calipers i thought you was wanting to know the u-joint cross reference the C's on the axle should be the same as the 350 and 450 to swap around
