Whats the deal

Not sure where you get your 3x figure, but FPP is now up to everyone else's purse money. We pull with FPP because its fun. Pulling with the other groups is fun too. Remember last year at Burton? Duramax guys rooting for red Dodges. That's one of the best things about this sport, rooting wildly for your competition. :cheer::cheer:

Let me explain
fpp is 3.75x more than northwest
fpp is 2.5x more than NADM
average around 3.1x more

I'm guessing the level of competition at FPP this year will be higher than any of us have ever seen. Could be ten or a dozen trucks capable of winning. You wouldn't want to miss that for a lousy $150 bucks, would you? If you don't run for points, no one will remember what you did last week. If you join this year, next year you get a reduced rate, at least its always been that way.

But with only 9 hooks this year those same 10-12 trucks will more than likely pull with the aforementioned organizations. So that level of competition isn't going to be exclusive to FPP.

Full Pull Response

great discussion. i have always said that these forums are an excellent way to discuss issues - if the 'name calling' does not ensue. thanks for not calling FPP or myself names.

first and foremost, FPP is a "for profit" corporation. we are very different from the various clubs and other organizations that operate in a 'non-profit' status. as a "for profit" corporation we are subject to both state and federal tax laws and yes we do pay taxes.

the USA-EAST membership is $150.00 for the first year and then is $75.00 for each following year as long as the renewal is purchased before a certain date - usually in November. thus (except for first year owners) the membership fee is $75.00.

so what do you GET for the membership??

we try to provide the best possible pulling situation for all of the pullers. we hire the best weight sleds available. we work very had to provide the best possible pulling surface. our venues are among the best in the area and our fans fill the stands giving you the opportunity to pull in front of literally thousands of the best fans. BUT, you do not have to be a member in order to enjoy all of these benefits. and that is where we are different!!!

the FPP web site is mostly reserved for our members. our web pages are updated regularly and we try to give as much press exposure as possible to our members. our point race is updated within a day of the event. results are posted at the same time. please compare to others.

now if you want to be an official part of this, you may join and run for the points. if not, please come and have fun. you are welcome always, but know going in that the 'best of the best' will be waiting for you - and these pullers are members and they know the benefits and wearing the jacket that says "USA-EAST POINT CHAMPION".

thanks again for the great discussion.

Look at it this way.

Businesses are in business to make money.
If Rick asks you for money and you give it to him, he gets the money.
If he makes enough money, he has to pay taxes.
If the IRS gets the tax money, they will have money in their bank.
If the IRS has money in the bank, then the President can spend it.

So please help out Mr. Obama and pay your sledpulling membership fee.
It's the right thing to do LOL

a ujnique way of looking at things to be sure. :hehe:

i can assure both the 2.6 diesel class and the new pro street gas class that we are definitely working on methods to be able to offer some kind of real money payments in addition to the jackets and the trophies. in this economy, it is extremely difficult to find sponsors ready to put money into our sport. but we do have a couple of possible leads and we are moving forward to see what may be developed.

The rules meeting is worth the $150. Last year you got to hear the RWYB gasser guys tell the diesel guys:
1. You have way more horsepower than they do. :bang
2. You shouldn't even be in this class. :what:
3. That time you beat me at **** , I got screwed on the measurement. :blahblah1:
4. You don't know how to drive your truck. :poke:

More fun than a 3 ring circus.:hehe:

Dont forget you could hook better if you would change your tires:hehe:
