HX35/ht3b Tuning

So I recently purchased a set of compounds off here and they should be arriving shortly. I have a few questions as far as tuning them and how to go about it.

3 gauges? Drive pressure, total boost and boost between the turbos?

Adjust the internal waste gate on the HX35 with the adjustable boost elbow I currently have?

Should I modify the wastegate on the 35 in any way before I install it? enlarge or drill thru the divider?

Loosening the gate will drive the primary harder. Tigher will make the secondary do more work. Yes on the gauges.

So if I were to see high Drive pressure I would loosen the gate? What am I looking for on the boost gauge between the two?

Yes on both drilling the divider and opening up the gate as much as you can. Drilling the divider will gate both sides of your manifold. Opening up the gate will allow you to run the Primary harder and allow a bit better drive pressure control.

Drilling and a larger flapper are not going to make up for lack of turbine wheel size or exhaust housing size.

Is that something you foresee being an issue? What do you suggest? Im not intending to go crazy with this truck, daily driver/tow pig.

I (we) would have to know the rest of the setup. If not trying to be crazy with it the hx35w should be fine.

Will be quad adrenaline, hx35/ht3b, 7x.010 SAC inj (haven't bought these yet but this is what im being recommended), so pump, 5 speed, 02 qcsb, studs.
Sorry about that.

I had a 35/s475 set along time ago, got ahold if one of the banks aftermarket hx35 ex housing, 14cm. Its been a long time ago and don't remember exact but the banks housing made a big difference. It had the divider drilled thrue also.

What injection pump & what injectors are you running this on?

As many details as possible would help.

That wastegated Banks 14cm setup worked great on my setup as well.

Low powered humble VE beater truck, HX35 hybrid/BHT3B dinosaur parts :nail:

Twin needle boost gauge

Going to be putting this twin setup on shortly. Still need to get a second boost gauge and was looking at the Hewitt twin needle gauges they make 50,80 and 100PSI. 50 seams slightly low to me but 80 seams excessive? Which would be more appropriate?

you want a 30 to 50 for the primary and an 80 for the total boost. a 100 is hard to read and its always irritating not seeing the needle go all the way to kill.
