Replacing that bad boy was a PITA.

Do the 3rd gens do this also? I know my 02 looked the same as yours before I replaced it! 700 bucks for a freaking dash!

I had dad buy me one through his shop. He got it for I think $300+. The ends where the A pillars go don't have the nice little edging like the original and it don't have any shine like the rest of the dash....but it is in one piece. I no longer have four cup holders and a enough room to sit a Sonic tray behind the windshield. :D

Yes, but they don't hang them and leave them anymore. They just hand you the food and take them back. AND no roller skates! The dayum corporate headquaters is in OKC, just an hour south of me, and they don't serve the food on roller skates with a smile anymore! I'm gonna sue for false advertising....the radio commercial says they do.

There may be one or two here that still use roller skates and they don't leave the trays. :(

I pulled my dash last night and that is how it looked! It was a PITA but when the new one goes in I plan on using half the screws so the next time it busts I can get it out without dealing with hidden screws!

yes mine has 3 cracks in it and my dads 03 is cracked too however the shovel form the first owner might have something to do with it LOL

Another well made point. Just how exactly in the Hades is someone supposed to put the screws back up into the air vents under the cover???? Riddle me that?!?!?!

Jerks. LOL

I have a hand full of 7mm screws in my glove box now. :hehe:

Thats what mine looked like when I did the heater core. I broke out what I didn't need and just left some of the post and a small piece on it to glue my cover on. No one will ever know, until they gotta change the evap! Whole dash is gonna be toast after they try and get it apart with all the glue I got in that thing. LOL

I got some of those 7mm screws also. I've used a few, they come in handy.

howd you like the cover? i noticed jc whitney and lmc have them. i have two hairlines in my 94 and i need a headliner also (reg cab)

I have the one from JC, owner before me bought it. Its really nice, fits nicely around all the curves, and color match is almost perfect. But when getting one from JC, be ready to fight for the right color. Had a friend get one for his 99 and it took a couple times before they shipped him one with the right color.

link to where i bought mine came out nice color was a little off due to sun fade on other pieces other than that it follows all curves nicely

red sleeper, i dont care if they send me a pink one...no cracks is all im after lol... if i go cover i may have my painter shoot it body color...whats another 100 bucks right?:bang

HAHA I hear ya man. I like crackless as well.

Gonna put you in the poor house? Are you married? I only have a girl friend and she hates both my car and my truck! Cant imagine getting married one day. (gulp)

LOL man, you sound like me. I've lost two women over my rides, but kinda glad cause I have more money invested in them than I did the women. Im picky also but I found a good one. (woman)

Im looking for a truck actually. Want a 04 CR 305 motor, red, larmie interior with the leather seats that have cloth inserts, auto, 4wd, long bed, 4 door, and from a private seller with not outrageous mileage.

Sounds like your gonna have a sweet ride once it gets done! Your gonna have to show me some pictures of the final project.. What brand paint you using?

Edit: Projects are fun. My mom always tells me, "cant you just leave stuff alone?"
