So I have been on the forum for almost a year and some of the guys have been asking me to post up a build thread. I've had threads on other forums and figure I will try to transfer the complete build up here. It might seem a little bit choppy because of the copy and paste of posts. Ill try to have it making more sense by adding dates in front of each post.

July 13th 2015

Been slowly working on a 49 Willys Pickup since June.
9" stretched cab, 6" stretched bed,
custom 2x4x.1875 rect tube frame, 94 Cummins 12 valve,
3 linked Dana 60 front, tri 4 linked Dana 70 rear, D2600 air bags all around.
Had it sitting on 32s during a lot of the mock up. Grabbed the 37s off the Cherokee the other day
to get some ideas. Thinking Ill end up running 35s.

Hoping to have it done here in a couple more months.

Ill do some back posting with dates to catch ya up.

Here's how the truck sat in July. Main sheet metal for the cab stretch done, cab, front clip, axles, and engine mocked up on the frame.

The wife was complaining how high it sat and it was hard to get in to with the 37s. So I let the bags down. lol

That looks like you had a blast building it.
Couple questions, did you make that floor or was it a "kit"? Looks great
Also, how is the engine mounted? Stock dodge style mounts?

Dang. That's a lot of work! Nicely done. I'm ready for more pics. :D

Custom turbo manifold out of sheet metal? Sure! Why not?

I ordered all the transmission parts last week. Pieced together a rebuild kit following Big Blue's clutch pack upgrades, RevMax Stage 3 Torque Converter, Transgo TFOD-Diesel Shift Kit, and Goerend Billet apply lever, strut, and anchor. This thing should be driveable in 2 weeks time.

I got a line on a new/used S400 turbo for an awesome deal. I might be working in the compound turbo setup sooner than I thought. Just need to order an external wastegate.

Took care of the killer dowel pin and advanced the pump timing from 13.5 to 17.5 while I was in there.

I Knew I had a rear main seal leak so decided to check it out while I am waiting for transmission parts. Took off the flywheel and the seal fell out in 5 pieces...

Took off the valve covers and cleaned all the paint off. Going to let the wife get crafty with them.

I didn't get as far as I wanted to today. But here are some pics of the progress.

Dang it. Cut it a little too close. It barely rubs on the engine mount casing.

Awesome job on the fab work! I wish we could get someone to make a manifold like that, a lot of twin setups could use it.

How did you come up with the shape of the U shaped piece on the cold pipe?

Also, how is the engine mounted? Stock dodge style mounts?

Designed and built the firewall, floor, and seat riser from scratch going off of some of the measurements from what was left of the original floor. Thanks.

It's kind of stock style mounting I guess. You can see some of the mounts in the pictures. I think specifically the S475 turbo mock up pictures.

I could make one up if anyone was really interested. I was actually thinking of remaking mine in stainless.

Sorry. I don't fully understand your question?

How did you decide on that shape specifically? Ive never seen it done like that and it looks like you had a plan for that shape. Not sure how to word my question haha.

Are you talking about the "U" shape on the intermediate piping and how it comes to a little of a point? That's because those were the tightest mandrel bends I had on hand and I needed to tighten up the 180 degree turn a little bit in order to clear the fender and inner hood.
