I am rebuilding my trans which had a transgo kit in it. I vacuum tested the valve body and decided to change it out due to leakage. The valve body I am going to use was modified from almost new by DTT and never performed properly. I noticed that there is a hole drilled for firmer lockup and also a notch cut in the mating surface of the valve body where it would act as another larger hole. Other than that I can't tell much difference. Any ideas on areas to check for modifications?
I am installing the following from Sonnax.
4 spool switch valve
Lube regulated pressure valve
Throttle valve
Manual valve
separator plate

The truck has a billet low stall converter. Had a smarty at one point but currently stock.
Are there any parts of the Transgo kit that I should keep?
Is there a listing of "stock" VB springs available?
Thanks

I got my transmission back together. At first I thought everything was ok but I think the converter may be slipping. I put a stock stall billet converter in that I had (Transtar I think.) When driving normally when the converter is locked it will slip a couple hundred rpm when I get on it. If i put it in manual 2 it will do the slip and when you leave off you can even feel it grab again a half second or so after letting off.
Pressures are
Idle 75
WOT 1-3rd 115
4th/lockup WOT 170

It will stall at 2100 in 1st. If I stall it in reverse it will get to about 1900 then there is a clunk and it flares to 23-2400 then comes back down and holds at 2100.
I checked cooler return flow per Sonnax instructions and got well over 1qt in 20 seconds they say is required.

I feel like the idle and 1-3 pressures are low but shouldn't be low enough to cause converter slip with an empty stock truck. I'm hoping for some pointers before I pull this valve body.
