Advanced water/meth injection and nozzle placement

The advantage is the evaporative cooling effect when water changes from a liquid to gaseous state. This is what cools the air so drastically. There is a lot going on in a water system. Definitely a lot more than adding water to fire makes fire colder.

It is a custom version of the 350 I had built.

Ah gotcha, customized for more pressure? If you were to start over would you go with that pump again or is there another version you would like to try?

for every 1 cc of water injected pre intercooler do you not then have 1700 cc of steam you have to try to fit through the intercooler and through the motor ?
the rough math on 500 cc/min of water would turn into 30 cfm of steam

i would think post intercooler would be a better use of the water

I believe my setup is the best pump system available for drag racing. It is lightweight, low amp draw, high pressure, high volume, able to be controlled by 12v DC speed controllers, progressive PWM, or a simple Hobbs/relay. If it won't produce the volume I need at pressure, I can always go to a more bulky motor that will double the current volume. I've been wrong before though. I couldn't honestly tell you the actual water needed for say 1000hp, 1500hp, 2000hp, etc.

I can tell you there doesn't seem to be any consistency in what people claim to be running. I hope to some day put this one to bed with actual figures.

Here is one of my early tests while i was messing with different nozzles. Big nozzles have massive penetration compared to smaller ones.

Atomization testing. You can see how easily influenced the flow path is at the intersection when the droplet has so much more atomization.

Here is a negative to see swirl/droplet density

Glad your not dropping this task. I am ready to get my setup done when cash flow comes back

Interested in this as well. I have run a low pressure system (~150psi), we put two nozzles on the outside of the first bend in the crossover tube. Dropped Egts 300F and picked up a good bit of power.

I'm thinking about running a devils own kit on my tractor, probably a dual nozzle setup, I'd like to put on Infront of the charger and one in the crossover piping as well. I've never run any pre-charger though
