Possible to change year model pump?

I have a 94 6.5 that now has a bad pump? I know the 94s are supposedly 94 only, has anyone tried a newer pump on one. I know you might have to change the computer possibly. Just curious

Depends what pump you have now. 2500/3500 94's origanally had a 5068 pump on them, but many were changed out to the 5521 compatible pumps later on. To do so you have to do a EPROM swap in the ECM, and swap to a new style pump. Just make sure you have teh right chip for which pump you run as a 5068 EPROM will run like CRAP with a 5521 pump.

ok i had found a newer pump, and the guy also would sell me his ecm and eprom together and its already tuned and much cheaper than a new one

I would suggest you purchase a Heath, Kennedy, Buddy or other manufacturer eprom. The eprom REALLY wakes up a 6.5L
