2nd gen Dodge "Bumper-well" Intake

Welp, finally came up with an intake that I like, and I'm here to share the setup.

Ingredients:
- (1) 4-5" rubber bushing
- (1) 5" 45deg rubber elbow
- (1) 5" long-leg 90deg elbow (aluminized)
- (1) AFE 24-91039 Filter; 5" Flg, 9" L, 5.5" top, 6.5" bottom
- clamps & tabs & mess

forgot to add:
- I had to remove the angled bumper support bracket to allow fitment for the filter.
- obviously the passenger battery must be removed
- had to relocate the black box & grounds that were mounted in the cut-out area

Sweet setup man! Its always nice to see something original, it would be easy to make a box and small scoop down there and have ram air...

I've considered it, but to be honest id rather not 'scoop' anything into the filter, like water/debris/etc.

Nice work! Looks like a set up I used to have. I used a box with the tube running down where you have your filter.

Haha good point, my ride does not see much weather and the sport bumper I just picked up has a fog light hole right there so i think it will work good

just dont get stuck crossing any deep water..
to bad you couldnt put a Y in with another filter up higher just in case thinking that it would pull air not water up from the lower filter...

That little black box you moved is an air bag sensor. Hope it ended up in a good location.

No worries on the water part, I usually dont forde any creeks with the truck.

And who needs airbags? I suppose I should pull that thing out of the headlight mounting cavity and bolt it down.

Also if ninjas end up having a battle near your truck the following blood bath may cause the truck to hydro lock. This is a serious issue because you won't see it happen.

Unless its city ninjas, they are hard to miss during the day and battle with firearms.

Damn. My mistake. Im sure the real worry would be those nice rims, just another reason to have mine powder coated. I told the ol lady to consider it an insurance payment

Haha yep

What gains did you notice with this setup? Not arguing the fact that cold air is better or that its the most original intake haha
