Tint is a must have, getting the whole windshield done?

I can't understand how people live without doing this.

100% agree. I have friends...in Florida...with no tint. Absolutely miserable. 5% all the way around is a must for me.

I like to be able to back up without opening my windows at night.

As do I.

35% all the way around now that I’m older. But ceramic tint is where it’s at. No need to be so dark anymore for heat blocking. It makes a world of difference.

Ha, like when you stop at the light, and the 2 college girls are beside you in their Jeep, don't want to feel like a creep looking them over. I get it, ha

This x1,000

My windshield meters at 28%, looks like 50%.
Sides meter at 16%, look like 35%.

I will never install tint that isn't ceramic ever again. Even if you get clear or 70% ceramic on the windshield, money well spent.

My local tint guy just down the road will not tint the windshield. In Texas, it is illegal to have any sort of tint film on the windshield. I need to find another good tint shop to tint our windshields with ceramic. Nothing dark, just the clearest ceramic tint that's available.

As mentioned, ceramic tint is a game changer.

No issues getting anything you want done here, luckily the cops are chill. If I have to roll my windows down for 15 seconds while backing up so that I can drive around for hours in comfort the trade off is there for me. One of the bigger Perks is it dims down the retards that put 10 million watt leds into the 99 s10 headlight housings so they blind every oncoming person.

God dam straight. I'm shopping for a new car, it'll probably take a month or two until I find what I want. I already called and scheduled with my tint guy because he's always 3 months out. I've done enough tint myself to know now I'd rather just pay to have it done. About the only thing I'll farm out that I just don't have the patience for, except I just tinted my wrangler windshield because its pretty simple lmao.

The Pulsar V3 is on.

Took me 48min to install, including getting the thing out of the box, tool clean-up, and test drive. Pretty basic install, and really clean operation.

This is way way better than the throttle spoofer.

It being a piggy back, it still doesn't completely get that "going from a stopped idle" lag time resolved, but it's way more manageable.
The pedal mapping is much better, and the extra power is good too.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with it. It's a good alternative to $3k and shipping my PCM out to have a chip resoldered on.

Thanks for all the help guys!

I've had the truck a month, and probably just need some air bags and meatier tires to finish it off.
I got her leveled out, ceramic tint, underbody coated, 5th wheel hitch, tonneau cover, tuner, some smoked tint for the side markers coming in a couple days. And it's been a great family hauler so far.

Also, somehow I missed the whole tint conversation. ha ha
I am a big fan of 35% (all ceramic) on the sides and back and nothing on the front. I did 20% on the sides of my last truck and it was too dark at night.

Did 35% on my last couple audi's and my current Tesla (even the huge window roof). Couldn't be happier.

I like seeing deer at night, and just put on some glasses if it's really sunny during the day.

So far, I'm really happy with the Pulsar. Just thought I'd share.
No changes in fuel economy, throttle feels way better, and it has some get-up and go now. I'd highly recommend it.

Just an update. I drove a brand new 3500 SRW and it did not have the lag issue my truck had/has. Even with the Pulsar, this 3500 had less lag.
After bugging a friend that works at GM, he speculated since the 2500 has a 10.5" rear and the 3500 has the 12" rear, it's possible it's all torque management surrounding that difference.

I don't know if I believe that though. Seems like torque management should be a ramp up, not a lag. The lag almost seems more damaging. It's like a CR Cummins with a big T6 charger that you're waiting for it to light (obviously less fun than that, but similar waiting time/feel).

I'm going to keep digging in and see what I find. Or if I can find a way to get a 3500 cal flashed onto my 2500 somehow?
Or if anyone knows of any low hanging fruit. I did check all my charge pipes/boots. Nothing was loose or seemingly leaking.

Ask your selling dealer to flash 3500 s/w on. Shouldn't cost more $50 I'd imagine if they even charge you anything for a low power complaint. Worst thing they can do is say no. You can also use the argument if they say no, that they are the same HP ratings from the facotry, you don't see the issue. Make them explain it to you.

I tried this, even went as far as bugging a friend of a friend that does calibration work at GM corporate. What I found out is basically the ECM is tied to the VIN of the vehicle and it will not support flashing of anything other than the RPOs tied to that VIN.
