6.7 cummins rod length

Yes exactly the same rod , you can use a early 12 or 24 valve forged rod if your going to make power
 
Due to the longer stroke on a 6.7, what are the thoughts of putting in a longer rod, say a 8" rod to get the rod ratio back to a decient area? I believe the 8'' will put it at a 1.634 ratio.
