Drive pressure actuator

What is a drive pressure actuator?

Instead of using boost pushing on a diaphram against a spring and operating the wastegate, it is a system that actuates only on drive pressure.

Very simple system, easy to adjust. Has the positives and negatives.

The positives are that it is super easy to adjust, and very reliable.

Negatives are there isn't anything really in place to dampen oscillations.

I'd like a price too, any reason it wouldn't work on an II charger?

They are $85. There are some turbine housings out there that are missing one of the bolt lugs we use for alignment. If you have the lug then it'll work fine. Chris

Your charger has one on it. Like Dan said, purely mechanical spring over pressure set up. Tighten the spring, takes more pressure to open it and more boost will result. Loosen the spring it opens easier and lowers the boost pressure. Adjustable with an allen wrench.
