I did see 2 psi loss when I took off to have some rips repaired. :) and the A/C performance worked better this year with less heat under the hood.

Thanks for chiming in Jason. Rips are by far the biggest problem with the material used for the blankets. They take heat extremely well but they tend to want to rip if you're not gentle installing them and are difficult to remove without tearing them a little. The rips don't usually affect the blanket's performance or ability to hold on, it just makes them look like crap. I'm installing grommets into Jason's blankets to see if I can solve the ripping and tearing during install/removal. I'll post pics up later of the grommets installed so you guys can see.

As of right now, I've been fixing any of the blankets that have had problems for free (just shipping cost). I'm hoping the grommets should solve all of this and make the blankets that much better.

yep, and after 6 or so turbo removals with my htt turbo drama, these things were though hell and back and held up well for the most part.

Thanks again levi, I'll try to document the install with pics and what not.

I honestly never expected someone to install/remove 6 times in that short of a time span. I was pretty surprised myself that the blanket wasn't in worse condition.

Levi's customer service remains top notch in my book!!! Just may call him up about a setup for the new small turbo and stock manifold.

I stress test everything. ;-)

You've made a believer out of me.

Thanks Nick! To be honest I would rather make a good product, have good customer service, and do okay moneywise, than get rich selling junk and screwing people over. It seems like more and more people just want to get rich and don't care how many people get screwed in the process. In my book, that's not what it's about.

im running an armstrong performance manifold im just wondering if a blanket would still work with that manifold?

After looking at a few pics of the Armstrong manifold, I think the blanket would still work. As long as turbo mounting location is the same as stock the extra height in the manifold tubes above the turbo flange shouldn't be much of an issue.

got pictures finally!

well here's the pics of the manifold blanket, turbo blanket, and the new downpipe wraped. i must say the down pipe is alot harder to wrap than most people would think, it kept wanting to pull away from the pipe, and not lay flat, a couple extra clamps helped keep it against the pipe. will have some more pics once i get eveything mounted. enjoy!

Looks good Wes, you did a good job wrapping the downpipe. I've seen some real disasters. I'm glad you like the blankets, I'm sure you'll like the way they perform even better. Thanks again. :Cheer:
