Turbo help

I have been reading and reading all about compounds for a while now and need help picking out my secondary turbo.

Truck is a 2006 Auto dodge with the cummins
Specs-
2006 built auto (billet input, intermediate, out shaft)
150% exergy injectors with 6.7 tubes
ats dual cp3 stock pumps
fass 150gph lift pump
arp 625 studs
Hamilton 103 valve springs
efi live tuning
leveled on 35" tires
remote mount pacbrake exhaust brake
5" exhaust

I have an S480/96/1.32 turbo now T6 foot print and was looking at either a 63/68/14 or a 63/74/14 T4 turbo, or read were some guys are running a 63/68/14 in a T3 flange and having luck. I don't want it to be super laggy where the turbo lights at 2k rpm or higher is my main thing, especially while towing. I plan to make it reliable as possible and drive the truck around 6-700 hp towing and 7-800 not towing, and turn it to kill mode when need be.

Goals-
I tow up to 15k pounds about 2-3 times a month through some hills and flat terrain. elevation is sea level up to 8-9k feet or so. That is my heaviest towing weight of my toy hauler, also tow open car trailer and an enclosed too. Plan on getting a dually in a year or so to take over towing duties, so this will be more or less a fun truck and tow rig IF I need to tow.

1k hp on fuel only
Truck sees about 4-5k miles a year if that, more of a fun truck.
Lastly get it to run in the low 11's.

What do you think of my goals and setup I have going on?

Also I have a steed speed manifold with a port for wastegate T4 setup now, can switch it out to a T3 and no gate if need be.

Lastly, I want to do this right the first time and done! Hence saving up and buying parts for the last 2 years and walking by them daily lol

Other thing is I had an 2005 auto cummins with stock fuel, trans, had stock/s475 with a smarty and ran like a raped ape! Yet, this time I want more power. Part of me says go stock/s475 and be happy with my current fuel setup and have 750-800 hp and other part of me wants that four digit dyno slip!

You really need to decide what you want. A 1000 hp of cool air is going to seem a little laggy in town or towing a trailer. I would look at the 64.5sxe over the s480 set in the classifieds if you are set on 1000 hp. Just remember the cooling system will not let you tow 14k with that much power.

I hear ya, I keep coming back to a stock turbo over s475 and leave it at 750-800.
Or do a stock turbo over s480 since I already have one and see what that will do.

I read so many old posts with people hitting 800-1000 hp and being able to tow and such as well.

I found a old thread where a guy had this kit with billet wheels for the turbos on a 06 dually and hit 1000 hp, still tows 10k pounds as well.

I really need to get this figured out by the end of the month, for towing season coming up.

why are you so set on compounds?????

if you have EFI live you have what you need to get you started. ive been on a single s467 and 50% overs for over 2 years. touching 800 rwhp BUT i will say when i tow my camper i have to run with OD off in the hills but i like the pressure taken off my 48re

For towing mainly and the power. I am aware of a right single can be almost just as capable, yet everyone I have talked to and research I have done compounds seem like the way to go. Plus I have 90% of the parts for my build. I am going with a 63/68/14 most likely.

Slight change of plans I guess you can say, shooting for 850-900 hp. So going with a 63/68/14 over an S480 may do a 1.10 at or leave the 1.32. Also dropping injectors to 100% over, everything else is staying the same. This should do the trick and get me everything I want and need, hopefully.
