Delete exhaust pressure sensor

My father in law has an 08' that we recently did studs and headgaskets on, cab-on. The truck has a Spartan and dpf/egr deletes. After finding a cracked up pipe I recommended replacing with an aftermarket set that removed emissions crap. He purchased the flo-30800R up pipes from flo pro as they are marketed for emission deleted trucks. After installing he noticed the truck was making a ton of boost with little effort. He decided to drive it home anyway and after blowing a charge air pipe and loosing the clamp he drove almost 100mi with no boost and the 310hp Spartan tune loaded. The truck was empty and he took it easy but after replacing the clamp it quickly developed a knock. So last week we swapped to a used motor and after extensive warmup and checking fluids I took for a test drive and noticed a ton of boost and it felt slow like dragging an anchor. The flo pro pipes have no provision for exhaust back pressure sensor. We had the sensor plugged in but removed from exhaust. We have sense disconnected the sensor and he is driving it now with no low end acceleration or boost.
Are there any easy fixes for this? Maybe reprogram ecm to use map signal for Vgt control rather than ebp or ep. We tapped the inlet manifold and put the exhaust pressure in there in an attempt to trick the ecm. I thought maybe the manifold pressure may be close to backpressure sense at wot they are approximately 1/1. That trick didn't work, boost seemed ok 1/4 throttle if below but anything above half and its pegging the gauge. As if now I think the only solution is pull the driver side up pipe and weld a bung for the sensor but this truck is such a mofo to work on I'm looking for any other tricks.

Thanks!

gotta love cheap aftermarket parts!!!

yes, you absolutely need a true EBP reading for the truck to run right...

it's a shame you lost an engine because of it
