Looked like an active leak while it was running. I pretty much decided I don't want it though. I don't feel like working.

I did go test drive an 09 with 117k ccsb 4wd and bramco bed. 23000

I might try and buy it. Has a cel and no muffler though.

Things for sure wrong with it:

-Steering gearbox is leaking, needs replaced
-Coolant leak coming from the back of the engine, no residue in tank or pressurized coolant tube when cold.
-Bed is pretty beat up, don't much care since I'm wanting a flat bed.
-Glass cover on gauge cluster is gone.

Truck started up and ran fine, absolutely no blow by.
Almost new tires.
Ball joints were good. One tie rod joint was a tad loose.
Doesn't look like the transmission or transfercase leaked any.

So. What is it worth? Where do you think the coolant leak is coming from? The little plate, egr cooler, coolant lines in valley, etc.?

Never saw the original truck, but reading some of these replies about the higher mileage makes me wonder how many people actually put miles on these things.

We have a 2003 3500...385K of the worst mileage ever, still runs great, but has taken a couple water pumps and 3 sets of injectors in that time...known issues on the early trucks.

We have a pair of 09 LMM's that have 235K on one, and 198K on the other, both service trucks, all factory. Pulled trailers, been beat in fields, mud, etc...never been aligned, no front end work, and other than a dash rattle at idle in gear, they are better than when new. We have ran Chevy IFS to 355K before with no alignment problems and ZERO parts replacement. Maybe we're just lucky??

They build these trucks better than ever before...mileage doesn't matter near as much as it used to.

IMHO,
Chris
