I know this has been round many times but would like to get NEW UP TO DATE INFO.

All around best year for bulletproof, mpg, torque and reliability.

For engine and body 03-04 gets my vote.

Tuning 06-07

Reliable, simple and everything else 94-98

94-98. 89-93 are damn reliable as well, generally not as much pulling power.

Can't go wrong with a 96-98 manual

If you don't care about big #'s, the 1st gen is hard to beat. 350 HP is pretty cheap, they get real good mileage and they're the least expensive to buy.

89-93, leaf sprung front axle, no CAD, fully mechanical engine, very little electrical, good mpg, and a somewhat comfortable interior
