Question Whats up Chevy guys??

Though the years owning and racing Dodges and the 6B 12v, all i read was the Dodge area and race section. All these years later and im driving a new L5P Duramax. I want to read and learn and there is nothing?? What changed here over the years?? I noticed also that all the Chevy threads are locked, whats this all about? Why is there No talk of the L5P?
Thanks?

There is a thread right now discussing the 2020's ugliness? The engine has been redesigned, with larger internals and a ecm that's locked down. Back to stacked pressure boxs. That sums up the l5p

Some decent reading over on DuramaxDiesels. Not much goes on over here. There were a couple places offering custom L5P tuning / deletes, but that probably got swept under the rug. The early L5P that still had the 6spd Alli would run through the trans at just over stock power. Evan @ Limitless Diesel proved this by tearing down the trans in an untuned truck just to see the c3 pack wasn't happy. Don't think anyone has pushed the 10psd yet

Ok.

Surprised its so dead here.
Good old days are over i guess, i loved how secret and new it all was back when i started around 1993, bought all my parts back then from Harry Piers and BD power. Then through about 2008 or 09 was the hay day id say. I noticed in 2010 when i sold Bone Shaker that it was dieing fast here

Ryan, i have a 2018 myself. Dyno'd 400 RWHP stock on my dyno. Banks derringer added 60hp on sport tune and S & B intake added another 20hp. I tested everything out at the time on the dyno and this was the best combo. Been driving this combo for 25k miles and it is really smooth. My daughter has won a few drag events in the truck. Runs a consistent 14.6 at our elevation with 35" tires

Wow thanks Rob, im loving the truck. Brett with Freestone ordered me the Derranger and their cold air pipe or resonator delete , i fiqured this along with factory air box mods like we used to do will be close to the same, likely closer with a perf filter.

I pulled heavy yesterday first time, very impressed. On the videos they all seem to be sround 400-405 rwhp, and 880ish torque, is this whst you also saw for torq

Goodies

Banks Derranger and int pipe.
Rob what would you think the 20hp came from mostly? This resonator delete will def smooth out airflow but filter sq inch may be the limiting factor, but a drop in dry perf filter may split the difference?? I fiqured if anyone could tune a L5P itd be you, i know its expensive to get into.
