God, that bugs me. I did more research and found out i actually have a p3000 series pump. Antone know if a right hand p7100 cam will work in a p3000?

Alright so it looks like this pump I have is just wrong from the ground, up. I thought i scored when i found a p-pump for cheap, turns out I didnt even end up with a p7100 like i thought. P3000 pumps have a smaller 25mm cam shaft vs the p7100 30mm cam, so CSD adapter will not work on a p3000 pump. Learn from me everyone, take care in reading the part numbers on the pump. There is alot of information out there that can help you determine what you have, i made the mistake of not reading the information until i screwed.

Im just going to sell my wrong pump and get as much money out of it as I can. I will continue with the swap, if I have a proper p7100 before i do the swap then I will run the compounds as planned. If not, i will use the old A-Pump until i can get a p7100. Plan is to get the engine in the truck and I can performance it as time goes.

A-Pumps can make a lot of power in the right hands. I wouldn't be scared to try it.

Yeah, you are right. I might try to get ahold of Scheid and see what they can do

I don't know where you are but a local pump shop here is really good with the a-pumps from what I hear. I could get you a number to talk to him if you want.

Im on the coast of NC. First thing this morning i found a guy on marketplace, right up the road from me with a p7100 off a cummins that he is selling for pretty cheap. Might be grabbing that if can get back to me. Everyone is freak out about the "snow storm" right now so hopefully that does cause an issue.

Back to normal

Guy up the road from me came through. Had a P7100 of a 95 cummins 12v. Minor things on it, front fuel return plug looks lose and worn out. Linkages need to be swapped over and I need to figure out which of my 2 p-pumps have the bigger plungers and dv's and do some swapping around. Other than that, looks to be good.

Start pulling apart the p7100. Removed the afc fuel restrictor plate. Transferred linkage parts from the p3000. Put the pump to DTC and got the adapter attached. Looked at the need modifications to the intake. I need to take one of the old flat head bolts and find a bolt that works with a socket. I also need to research the part numbers to see if the p3000 has the bigger plungers and dv's.
On a different topic, i am considering a hx50 turbo for my high pressure in the compound system. I really want to run a gtp38r but I can't find one with a t4 housing. I am not looking for a big high pressure, max 70mm. The T04 the dt360 comes with is a 54mm so it makes a perfect low pressure. Thoughts anyone??

I personally would not run the GTP38R. That turbo is not able to be rebuilt. You have a 5.9L engine. I would search around and see what the 5.9L cummins guys are useing and go from there.

Still going

Realized i have posted in a few weeks so here is an update. I got my transmission back from the shop, upgraded with all the goodies. I sent my head off to the machine shop to get the groves cut for the o-ring and half way through the first cut the machine broke. Head is fine, something in the machine quit working. So the head got sent out to Kill Devil Diesel to finish the work but they are a month behind on work so it will he a bit before i get my head back.
In the mean time, the T04e turbo rebuild kit came in. I am about to order the transmission adapter plate, valve springs, push rods and transmission controller here soon

Nice! Sounds like things are coming together for you. It takes time to gather all the peices then assemble them. But very rewording.

Thanks for the update. I have been wondering how things were progressing.

Dt360 intake manifold

Alright my intake manifold came in today. Off a international Dresser dozer. So anyone looking for a intake manifold, dresser dozers also have a d360 in the them. As far as i know, d312, d360, dt360 and dta360 intake manifolds are interchangeable.
I got mine off a guy on ebay, he had 7 when i purchased mine so plenty left for anyone who wans one.

Update

Adpater plate, flex plate, valve springs and push rods all came in finally. Carson Stauffer got a hold me and told me they were waiting on the plates they use for the adapters and oil filter relocation kits, Carson told me the plate were about a week or 2 out so anyone whos ordered either of those, they're on the way. Still haven't gotten the cylinder head back from the machine shop yet.
While on the phone with Carson he said since i have the stiffer valve springs, he advised me the weld the rocker arms. I guess the stamp steel rockers are good but with the stiffer springs, i can warp then over time. So welding the seam of the rocker can help the longevity with these springs on.

Ok, project is still under way. Still waiting on some more parts to come in and hopefully will be getting the motor in the truck here soon. The snag i have run into today, is how has other people gotten the tachometer working? What do i need to make that all work?
