Pure sexy: 4.3# carbon fiber 06+ valve covers

Randy @ oldskoolfab hooked me up!! 4.3 pounds of pure sexy carbon fiber that's strong enough to drive over. I'm still finishing up the breathers (tried to weld 2024 aluminum to 6061 aluminum, doesn't work) so it won't be at TS.

Randy has a few ideas and refinements to add for the next piece, but it looks like it's a winner! Everyone who's seen it in person can't stop drooling. No one can believe how ridiculously lightweight it turned out. Should be available to the general public in the coming months.

I forgot, I haven't had it buried in clearcoat yet in those pictures. I'll be sure to post in this thread when I get everything done and installed on the truck.
 
4.3lbs and looks like that:drool1::drool1:....bonerfukkenrific!! I need an 06+ CR Cummins just for that piece alone.

Can't wait for pics of it finished up and installed!
 
It's pure awesome like Brandon has the two to compare them to each other is just awesome. Looks so nice anyways.
 
Looks awesome Brandon, I was talking to him about some 12v ones about a month ago and he told me he was making them for a CR. Looks amazing, just as all of his work does.
