Hey All,
Im needing some help on turning the fuel up on my 80s something DT466 and I have a few questions.
On the back of my MW pump, Ive removed the two screws and the cover, and underneath is a rod, nut, and plate. The youtube videos Ive seen dont show the plate. The rod and plate all spin together, so I would have to hold the rod with pliers to spin the nut. Do I take the plate off?
Also is there a way to tell if the flywheel has been put on incorrectly?
Ive looked into the sight hole on the injection pump and lined up the pointer and spun the flywheel so they match, and the numbers on the flywheel read 20 degrees.
I just find it weird that the previous owner would have advanced the timing but not turned up the fuel. They did use gasket maker on the timing cover, so maybe they did advance it.
I see where to adjust the governor and havent adjusted it yet.
If I turn the fuel up should I also turn up the idle fueling?
