Jet fuel kerosene?

Diesel #1 was kerosene. Way lower gel point but mileage went down.

^^what these guys said. I've ran it in a pinch. Add some type of lube. Mpg and power were down a little. Smoke was down a little too.

I worked at an airport as a kid and had an old vw jetta diesel. They used to give away the "water test fuel" as it was no longer sale-able and was cheaper than having it hauled away. It was very dry, and needed 2 stroke or a fuel additive, but I wasn't complaining free fuel was free fuel.

We have alot of diesel age equipment here that we either use jp8 or jet A with no additive most are either ppump or vp30 injection pumps.

It's just essentially highly refined kerosene. I've talked to a few people who have run it long term and the only drawbacks were you need to add lubrication to it and your mileage will drop. However, if you can get it for free or cheap it's worth running.
