Disconnect the GROUND/NEGATIVE leads off both Batteries.
Be sure to clean both the cable ends and the battery posts.

Leave the cables off for at least 1 hour or better yet -do it overnite....

When you come back in the morning,

reconnect the ground cables and jump in drivers seat-

Turn the key forward in the ignition switch one click,
not to engauge the starter motor, just to energize the system with key on power.

Now take your foot on the throttle pedal and proceed to S-L-O-W-L-Y press the pedal to the floor, and the S-L-O-W-L-Y bring pedal back up, do this three times -the same way- slow down to the mat, and slow back up.

Click key off and start truck up. The TPS/APPS is reset and the sensor has 'found itself' again.

Test drive and enjoy....

then S L O W L Y reprogram your radio stations and reset the clock in you truck :) it is great news on resetting the TPS/Apps but god i hate having to retune my radio !:redx:

Why would you have to disconnect batterys over night? When I do a brain dead I discoonect batterys, touch pos to neg cables to each other for a couple of seconds, then I pump brake pedal 5 times to discharge any capacitors and wait 5 minutes. Reconnect batterys and you should be fine. This procedure involves the cruise control module which can cause all these problems.

You know I have nothing but love for ya Mike.....even if you arre a California Dmax guy :poke: LOL
