2001 F-250 front seal replacement...how involved?

I've got the opportunity to pick up a ECSB f250 w/ 202k for $2800.

It has a bunch of new parts (water pump, alternator, front end rebuilt, Hpop are all less than a year old) but needs a front seal and probably freshen up the trans as the owner said the fluid has been drained out of it for about 6 months.

Cosmetically the truck is in decent shape, no major dents or dings, interior is straight minus a good deep cleaning.

For the miles and condition $2800 seems like a hell of a steal to me? But I'm not sure what's all involved with a front seal replacement.

What do y'all say?

I was thinking front pump seal on transmission. If so, might as well rebuild the trans since you got to remove it to replace the pump seal anyway.
