Honing Information.

I would like to know if you would be able to extrude hone a tip like this. Current specs are 8x.009".

How large are you wanting to go? And how large is the base OD? Due to tooling issues it very well may be easier to EDM the nozzle rather than honing it.

I would like to go to 8x.014" but I am not sure there is enough material available in the tip to keep it strong enough.

I know usually the larger tips from the factory are 10x.010" so I believe with the 8 hole that there is room to gain.

I don't have a precise measuring tool with me but I would say the largest diameter is around .750"
