Leave the trans blanket. It will help keep the G56 quiet. Otherwise have at it. I still have a small section under the coolant res and hydroboost and doesn't look bad so I left it.

Anyone have any detail on how well Dynamat reflects heat? I ripped my oil soaked liner out, looking to replace soon before motor goes in. I'm looking for a peel and stick.

i was looking into dynamat as well. hopefully some will chime in with good experience.

They a product that is specifically for the underside of the hood. It works very well in my experience...I have a layer of dynamat extreme and the hood liner.
