Sorry I haven't posted in awhile work and school has been killing me. So the more I drive this thing the more I like it. With more seat time I've been able to figure out how to drive it better and once I get my manual valve body in will easily be able to drive smoke free. Just in the last couple days I got on it hard having fun and after letting off started noticing I have a boost leak of some sort, but again no time to deal with it yet. I'm hoping that Monday I'm going to get the 6x.013's in and boost leak test so hopefully I'll get it all buttoned up. Unfortunately after that I'm heading to the UCC so won't have any seat time or be able to report back for awhile

On a better note a buddy repaid me for putting a tuner in for him by cleaning my truck up so I thought I'd show it off

Well I havent driven the truck as much as I wanted since I last posted but have driven it enough to give some feedback. The 6x.013's have definitely woken this thing up. Haze at idle is very minimal from what I was expecting and power all the way through the rpm's is awesome compared to the 7x.010 I had before. Smoke is very comparable to before but if you get on it too early it will black out a freeway in a hurry, I'm hoping that when I get my manual valve body installed this weekend and get some more seat time that I wont be having this issue. I am getting a weird fluttering of the wastegate at around 30 psi which I cant figure out and as soon as it gets over 30 psi I can hear it close and then pulls hard to 50 psi. I still have yet to turn the quad up to lvl 10 so it will be interesting to see what happens when I do, also I am running my fuel stretch at 1250 which is almost the lowest you can go, my race/dyno tune is set at 1900. I should get quite a bit more info after this weekend and will update hopefully sunday night or monday morning. If anyone has any questions or specific things they would like to see dont hesitate to ask.

Just got 6x.013's for mine as well, need to find time to install. How much boost have you seen? Running springs and push rods?

Yes I'm running 110 lb springs and upgraded pushrods. Curently I've only seen 50 psi. But the is ok lvl 5 of 10 or lower. Truck is under the knife right now but will be back running this weekend and will put her through hell testing

So got my manual valve body in and my ratchet shifter and being able to hold gears a little longer this turbo is really coming alive. I can drive it almost completely smoke free now and when passing or just wanting to have fun can drop a gear and just take off instead of waiting for spool like before. I also got a quadzilla 4k to try out but have only ran it with it up once and something wasn't right so trying to get some more testing on that before the diesel drags i'm going to on friday.

Got it all back together and I forgot how much fun this thing is. Even with my tuner all the way down going from a 2wd toyota to this is night and day. I will admit that I'm having to remember not to just mash the throttle but to roll into it but for a big single this thing is impressively responsive

With the same mods you have, how would this turbo spool with a 5 speed? Would you have trouble keeping it in boost with trailer?

Definitely wouldn't recommend for towing. While it does really well for a big charger it's still a big charger. With my housing it doesn't really come into its own until 2200. Just daily driving on a slight incline my egt's get to 1100 if I don't get into it

do you have the new quadzilla 4k? or one of the older adrenalines? and without the manual VB, would you still like it as much?

I have one of the older ones but from my understanding tuning is the same. And I would but I would definitely recommend the smaller exhaust housing. If I could find a t4 hx40 .80-83 non gated I would get it and see how it does but I can't seem to find one anywhere

Yea the smaller housing would be good for quick spooling, but also might hurt topend but who really cares when we all have a 24v hahaha

Exactly and I may have a little something up my sleeve for the top end if that ever becomes an issue

I ended up going from a 2.6 s466 .90 ar t4 to a sxe369 .80 t3 waste gated and it is night and day different. With the 2.6 I would maybe get 2-3lbs before 1900rpms but with this sxe I can get 10lbs before 1600rpms. I have zero issues towing 6-8K lbs with this setup. 6x.013's from contagious diesel and a edge cts2 hot unlocked. With the tuner on 0 I can hit 38psi with this setup. Need to get a drive pressure gauge but I'm not too concerned. An sovp pump has a tough time over speeding an hx35

Well took the truck to the track tonight and could not have been more disappointed. Couldn't get over 10 psi at the line. I added fuel I pulled fuel nothing would help. So 60 ft times were in the 2.8 second range. But at about half track truck finally spooled and ran a best of 9.7 at 88 mph
