Does anyone know Shawn Baca, he ran at the world finals and looked like a LB7 in Super Street, only made one pass and it was 9.724 @ 145.61 anyone??

Yes, I was there. He ran more than once but he did red light in quarter finals. The brakes developed a small problem and he didn't get bulb ed in. He bumped the second light but it didn't stay on. He was having a hard time holding it back. We were bummed about it but that's racing.

I still think that the "fastest" duramaxes. Should have there own list based on mph! Does this not clearly show hp? Lots of names and places would change on this list.

It's always been a list of 1/4 mile passes and started long before you had something that could be on it. Was it named wrong for a 1/4 mile list, yes, but no one cares about the name, well almost no one.

If you go back and look at the beginning of the thread it was started by Noreaster in June of 2006, and that is what he named it. I took over in May of 2009 with his consent since I had the time to do it, and he didn't. It should be named the Duramax powered 10.99 and quicker list as that is what it has evolved to after much discussion. If you want to start a list for the fastest be my guest. Drag racing is about ET not MPH. The only time MPH comes into play is if the ET's are identical.
I would like to have the missing info on the ones that are on the list, many are missing weight, tranny info, tuner etc. I think that is more interesting and tells a lot about the build.

BTW, the 3268 lb for Dirtymax is a bit misleading, this is what it weighed with me in it, minus the nose, doors & interior, and when we ran it with no intercooler or trans cooler (trying to get it as light as possible). My guess is that it weighed about 3450 with me in it but going down the track at that time, and it was probably about 3700 with driver when it made the passes on this list (heavy intercooler and heavier driver).

I know were talking some fast trucks. But just thought id throw my 2¢ in. 4 years ago I took my ccsb 06 down the track at 12.1@ 113 can't find my slip otherwise I'd post it.
Truck specs
Stock bottom end a little special head work when I did gaskets and studs
Stock turbo, injectors, cp3, ported rails.
Hand made intake and Y bridge.
BHAF. Custom down pipe to 4in exhaust
Built trans triple disk converter. A1000 lift pump.
Efi dsp5
Tires were MT slicks stock rims. Leaving in 2wd front drive shaft was in need of u joints...
Now the fun stuff
Pulled the seats. spare tire, tail gate MIA
It was all good till the next pass the aluminum rear drive shaft blew up at the 60 foot. That ended my night quick
