2nd gen 2wd with 20x9 +12 offset and 5.5" backspacing. Fit?

Looking at some wheels and tires for my 2nd gen rcsb. Looking at some wheels that are 20x9 with +12 with 5.5" backspacing. Wanting to run 285 50 r20 tires. I have tried to do some research but all I can seem to come up with is 4wd applications for fitment and pictures. Anybody running anything similar on their 2wd. Im kinda worried the wheel will have to much backspacing.

I had same tire but with +6mm/5.25" BS 20x9's, and they scrubbed the front fenderliner at full lock with a 3" lowering kit

Mines at stock height up front for now. So it sounds like they should work. How far did the tires stick past the fenders on yours? Theses may stick out a little. Which I'm ok with. But just don't wanna ride cholo style.

I'd estimate about 1/2" past fenders, 285/50-20 Sumitomo HTR's

I found some wheels I liked better for less money. They are +18 offset. Thinking of trying to squeeze some 305/50r20s under her now. I like the wider look thanks for the help.

My truck drove way better with 285's on my 20x9 wheels than 305's.

20x9 +10 offset with 305/55/20, though obviously this is on a 4x4 it should give you an idea of spacing

Turned out pretty good. The front was coming pretty close to the lip inside the fender. I bent it out of the way and no rubbing yet. Click the image to open in full size.

Looks good! And thanks for the info as I was just starting the search for 20's.
TXBLACKSMOKE What are the measurements on those wheels on the red truck? Off set, back spacing, etc.

Those are 20x9 +18 offset. I can't remember the back spacing right off hand. Most wheels I looked at didn't list a back spacing only the offset.
