Question about protrusion

my truck.. 2000 24valve with mach 1.6 injectors. Pulled the head off a few weekends ago and just getting around to doing a few checks, i saw in quikserv that the injector protrusion spec is .150 to .171. with the machs i have .132 is that right? also i would like to put new washers on the injectors but the new ones i have from cummins are .063 where the f1 ones are around .054 any suggestions on what i should do? Also, one of the reasons why i ask this is that you can see a faint star pattern on the face of the piston, not in the bowl. Is that normal to see that?

The .060-.065 washers from Cummins are fine. The nozzle style is different so it has a short protrusion. That is normal.

Yes, you will see a pattern on the outdside edge of the piston. Thats true with stock injectors as well.
