Thermocouple Information

Looking to replace a thermocouple on one of my semis, I notices the temp ratings on the probes of 0-1600 or 0-2000, is this the gauges they are desgined for, or just suggested max temp rating?

Thank you.

That is just the sustained max temp rating.

Michael, while I was working on getting ends connected one end of the truck side cable came off of the wiring, I crimped a non insulated end back on it as the wire didn't break it just pulled out of old connector, will this throw the reading off much?

Was this one with crimped on ring terminals, and you just crimped on a replacement ring terminal? If so, it should be fine.
