I need information on the types of motor mounts and modifications necessary to fit the Cummins into a 92 Chevy. I bought this used Chevy with the Cummins, engine is not level, the oil pan is nearly against the cross member, and it is impossible to install the NV4500 transmission. HELP!!!! Immediate thoughts are to remove engine, cut down the cross member for more oil pan clearance, and fabricate new motor mounts. Would appreciate any advice you have. Thanks.

I know a guy that has a 12v in a '94 3500 Chevy 4x4. I'll call him and see .

im in the middle of one right now!! Body lift made life easy!!

I would say your thoughts are right on. Remove engine, fab mounts, and i would also add at least 3" body lift. A friend of mine installed a 12v in his 95 chevy, which is his everyday driver and i couldn't see doing it without a body lift.

What does a body lift involve. Have never done one before. I am thinking different body mounts for cab, different suspension parts would be involved.
Thanks.
