Valve spring life span

,, just wondered. What most think is the effective life span of a set of maxspool dual valve springs is , I have a set I used on the street for 50k or so and now in a 3.0 truck seeing 4500+ rpm

It depends on how much you compress them (cam/rocker). If you stay in between 20%-80% compression, a spring should last for just about ever.

Best to ask the manufacturer...Pro Stock cars only get a few runs on them @ 400psi and no wonder they break cams!

To get any real answers you’ll need to pull them out and check pressures. I know in non-diesel motorsports valve springs are changed frequently, and rocker arms backed off in the off season to relieve pressure. I’ve always thought it was strange no one talkes about life on springs in a diesel

I have to pull injectors for testing in will just pull a set off one cylinder and check them
