P pump motor in a first gen

I have had an extra engine for a while now, and just picked up a home for it in the form of a
very clean 89 2500 2wd with a busted injection pump.:rockwoot:
I sold the motor and I will try to put the 94 motor in it this weekend .
I know I will have to use the first gen water outlet and I will have to run a wire from the starter to a relay then onto the pull coil for the pump solenoid. Am I missing anything ? Thanks Rich

When you remove the sacred ve pump, you are no longer a first gen. I was told that 4 years ago. Go to the 2nd gen 94-98 section. They will be more helpfull on this one.

Thanks Ron , I think Ive got a handle on most of it squeezing an intercooler in will be the toughest part. Rich:hehe:

I ended up putting in an '02 with it mounted upside down.

I have a 96 I think it might work if I mount it right side up and as high as possible I am concerned that the intercooled rad is a lot bigger than the non intercooled (which I have) Rich
